Monday Night Classes Open

The next two Monday’s are PUBLIC HOLIDAYS in Queensland – YAY!! To make the most out of your days off, be sure to join us at our Ashmore Class which will still be running on both Anzac Day (26 April) and Labour Day (3 May).

Boys, we have some very keen Ladies at class who are looking for some extra blokes to dance with. So hop of the couch and join us for some great nights of dancing on the Coast!!!

 

Focus at Intermediate Class 

This Thursday Night is our last Intermediate class in the series of footwork variations and syncopations. If you didn’t make it to our earlier classes you missed out on some cool stuff but this class will still be of benefit to you (especially the boys) as we focus on lead syncopations.

Starting next week, our new Intermediate Class focus will be on acceleration and deceleration principals and applying these principles to patterns. Learn how to use these techniques make your basic patterns look really cool and to enhance your musicality.

 

WCS Competitions Coming Soon

Gear up for some exciting weekends of WCS in June.

Aside from our Swingsation weekend on the 18th to the 20th of June, we will also be attending some other WCS Competitions throughout June.

The 2010 Australian Nationals held by Rock N Beat and Boogie Brisbane will be held in Capalaba on the 5th of June and the CMJ Champs are on in Sydney on the 12th of June. Both Competitions have WCS events. There are categories where you require your own partner and some where you can just enter on your own. Competitions are a great way to help you enhance your dancing and are always heaps of fun. 

If you are interested in joining us at either (or both) of these Competitions, please ask for more info at class.

 

Discounted Class Passes

Why not purchase your WCS classes in bulk and save yourself some money. We now have a variety of multiple class passes available.

• First Timer Pass (save 57%): $30.00 for 5 classes
  This pass is only available for purchase during your first class at Raw Connection.  
• 5 Class Pass (save 15%): $60.00 Adult, $50.00 Full Time Student
• 10 Class Pass (Save 22%): $110.00 Adult, $90.00 Full Time Student

SWINGSATION 2010 Registrations Now Closed

Due to an overwhelming response to Swingsation 2010 and space limitations at the venue, we have unfortunately had to close registrations. We would like to thank everyone for their support for our first major event and sincerely apologise to anyone who missed out.

If you have missed out, please email us your details and we will add your name to the stand-by list and notify you if more spaces become available. We look forward to an awesome weekend in June and an even bigger Swingsation (perhaps at a bigger venue) in 2011.

We have a limited amount of embroidered Raw Connection West Coast Swing tops for sale at class. Ladies singlet tops are $20.00 each and men’s collared button up shirts are $50.00 each.

 

West Coast Swing Shoes

Raw Connection now has a full range of sizes of womens dance shoes with a low, wide heel making them ideal for WCS. Similar shoes normally retail for $170.00 in the stores but we are offering them for just $100.00 a pair. Check out our website for more details.
